Downtown Plaza Construction
Expect some changes around the corner of Fairhope Avenue and Bancroft Street as construction begins on the new Julwin’s Plaza. This public space will mirror the charm of the beloved Gaston Plaza clock corner.
Construction fencing is up and sidewalk access is limited in that area, so plan alternate walking routes. All nearby businesses remain open and accessible. The finished plaza will feature new trees and landscaping to enhance downtown’s appeal.
Use caution when walking through the construction zone and follow posted signs for safe pedestrian access.
