Fairhope Waterfront Rededication
The city is celebrating a major milestone with the public rededication of the Municipal Pier, South Beach, Rose Garden, and Fountain on Thursday, March 26 at 4:00 p.m.
After years of storm damage and nearly $10 million in improvements, Fairhope’s beloved waterfront is officially ready to shine. The upgrades include better accessibility, safer walkways, pier enhancements, and spruced-up public facilities.
The ceremony will also honor Timothy M. Kant, Fairhope’s first horticulturist and former mayor, by naming the rose garden and fountain after him. His work since 1983 helped create the beautiful landscapes you see throughout the city today.
Head down to the pier at 4 p.m. to be part of this community celebration. More details here.
Fairhope Represents Alabama on National Mall
Something pretty special is happening at the Eastern Shore Art Center on Wednesday, March 25 from 1-5 p.m. Local artist David Beckwith will team up with renowned artist Ed Massey for a live painting installation called “Portraits of Hope.”
Fairhope was chosen to represent Alabama in this 50-state collaboration that will be displayed on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. You can watch the artists work and be part of a project with national significance.
Stop by the art center during those afternoon hours to witness history in the making.

Bring the little ones for Easter Bunny photos on Friday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the Fairhope History Museum.
